Warren is a town located in Western New Hampshire in the Dartmouth/Sunapee region of the state. It is situated in the central part of Grafton County and encompasses a total area of 49 square miles, .6 of which is water. As of the 2010 United States Census, Warren was home to 904 people.
The land that comprises Warren was first granted by Governor Benning Wentworth in 1763. Settlement of the area began in 1767. It was officially incorporated as a town in 1770 by Governor John Wentworth, taking on the name “Warren,” in honor of Admiral Sir Peter Warren. The town was once home to the New Hampshire State Sanitorium. The facility now exists as the Glencliff Home for the Elderly. Warren is also home to the Redstone ballistic missile landmark.
