Jaffrey, New Hampshire is located along the Contoocook River with a population of 5,457. The town has a total area of 40square miles, of which 38.3 square miles is land and 1.7 square miles is water. Mount Monadnock State Park is popular for hiking trails in Jaffrey. There are a lot of coffee shops and parks in the city. Students go to Jaffrey Grade School and Conant High School. Jaffrey water bodies include Contoocook Lake (344 ac.), Frost Pond (62 ac.), Gilmore Pond (125 ac.), and Thorndike Pond (252 ac.).
