Merrymeeting Lake is located in New Durham, New Hampshire. This hour glass shaped lake is a 1,233 acre body of water; its outlet is the Merrymeeting River which flows to the Lake Winnipesaukee. The majority of the Merrymeeting shore line is developed and there are many beautiful properties and developments available on this coast. The shoreline also offers some undeveloped coast which is located on the lake's Western Side.
This beautiful lake is famous for its recreational value. Fishing is very popular in this lake as there are a number of cold water and warm water species of fish to which the Merrymeeting Lake is home. Coldwater species found in Merrymeeting Lake include Brook Trout, Landlocked Salmon, Whitefish, Rainbow Trout, Brown Trout and Lake Trout. Warm water species of fish that can be found in the Merrymeeting Lake are Base, Pickerel, Horned Pout, Northern Pike, Bluegill and Yellow Perch.
