Sunset Lake is a body of water located in Eastern New Hampshire in the Lakes Region of the state. It is situated in Belknap County and can be found in the towns of Gilmanton and Alton. Altogether, the total surface area of Sunset Lake is 253 acres. Its maximum depth is 78 feet, though on average, depth is about 18 feet. It sits at an elevation of 806 feet above sea level.

Sunset Lake is a popular vacation spot and is ideal for boating, kayaking, canoeing, swimming, water skiing and fishing. According to the New Hampshire Fish and Game Department, the lake is home to a variety of warm water fish, including small mouth bass, large mouth bass, yellow perch, brown bullhead, rainbow smelt, chain pickerel and sunfish.
